For ten years, Adele Moretti waits faithfully for her fiancé Vito, enduring ridicule for her weight and believing fate keeps denying their marriage. Then she discovers the truth: Vito has been rigging the tradition to keep another woman by his side. When Adele finally draws the red slip, she refuses to wait any longer and boards Luca’s boat instead. Chosen openly and loved without shame, Adele rebuilds her life—while Vito realizes far too late what he threw away.
