Eight-year-old Lyra has endured seven years of cruelty, believing she’s nothing more than an unwanted burden. One freezing night, after being thrown into a blizzard, she discovers a missing-child flyer in the trash—and a worn-out phone card that could change her life forever. A tiny red butterfly birthmark on her ankle may be the key to finding the family she never knew she had. When billionaire CEO Vance Sterling answers her desperate call, he races through the storm to find the daughter he’s searched for seven agonizing years. But reuniting is only the beginning. As Lyra struggles with deep emotional scars, her fiercely loving parents must prove that home is a place where she’ll never have to fear again.
