On the night when Lin Zhaozhao, the Golden Snake, laid eggs with her Golden Snake husband, her elder sister secretly replaced Lin Zhaozhao's snake eggs. Enraged, the heartless man pushed Lin Zhaozhao into the Valley of Ten Thousand Poisons. Lin Zhaozhao was reborn on the very day of the husband selection. This time, Lin Zhaozhao decided to fulfill the wishes of the heartless man and her elder sister. She set a bet that whoever could lay a golden egg would succeed as the Mother of the Azure Serpent. The story unfolded from then on. In the end, Ao Jing helped Lin Zhaozhao see through the true colors of the heartless man and her treacherous sister. The two of them lived a happy life together.
