Seven years later, Michael, now a rising baseball star, meets Emma, who is working as a cleaner. He coerces her into becoming his assistant, and old feelings resurface. Emma suspects Michael’s son, Jerry, may be her lost child. At a signing event, Michael announces his divorce from Rebecca and confesses his love for Emma.
