Chen Hao, who had hidden his real identity for five years for love, was betrayed by Zhou Xinyu on the day they were supposed to get their marriage certificate. He then accepted a marriage alliance arranged by his family, and his wife turned out to be Jian Chun, the chairman of Jian's Group. After Jian's Group acquired Tianchen, Chen Hao attended a cocktail party with Jian Chun, where he was mocked by Zhou Xinyu—who had been demoted—and her husband Zhao Bowen.Mistaking Chen Hao for a fraud, the couple joined forces to make things difficult for him. They even tore up the painting that Guoguo had drawn for Chen Hao, and came close to throwing him out of the banquet hall. Jian Chun arrived just in time to take Chen Hao for medical treatment, and Chen Hao swore to take revenge. Later, the two returned to the party to confirm Chen Hao's real identity and punish those who had humiliated him. Zhao Bowen's conspiracy was exposed, leaving him drowning in debt. Zhou Xinyu, overwhelmed with regret, broke up with Zhao Bowen. After killing Zhao Bowen in a car crash, she tried to win Chen Hao back, only to be completely rejected by him.
