After seven years of marriage, Lin Shuyu had always been as cold as ice to Xiao Chi. All their friends urged him to give up, but Xiao Chi firmly believed that one day he could warm her heart. On his birthday the next year, Xiao Chi happily imagined Lin Shuyu and their daughter coming back, only to be stood up again. Determined to make one last effort for their seven-year relationship, Xiao Chi flew thousands of miles abroad to find her and their daughter on his birthday. However, he discovered that his wife—who had always rejected him—was celebrating another man’s birthday with their daughter. The wife who was cold to everyone smiled warmly only at that man. Even Xiao Chi’s daughter wanted that man to be her father. Finally, Xiao Chi made up his mind to get a divorce.
