Fourteen years ago, Xiao Dayuan collapsed at the doorstep of Yun Niang's home and was saved by her. After ascending to the throne, Xiao Dayuan disguised himself as a beggar to patrol the countryside, observe the people’s livelihood, and repay Yun Niang for saving his life. When he arrived at her home, he found Yun Niang being bullied, and he stepped in to intervene. However, he was arrested by corrupt officials and taken to the local yamen. Military Commander Song Zhendong, dispatched to rescue the emperor, uncovered a web of corrupt officials and bureaucrats. Using decisive and swift measures, he purged the corruption, ultimately restoring peace and stability to the realm.
