Powerful witch Erin saves crippled wolf Cain and sacrifices her magic to lift him to wolf‑king. However, he betrays her for vampire Lilith, brutally hurting her and killing their unborn child. Hiding her grief for seven days, Erin reclaims all her magic at his engagement ceremony. She strips Cain of power, condemning his soul to eternal torture. Having escaped the bitter betrayal, Erin leaves everything behind and embarks on her independent new life.
