By accident, he discovered that his long-lost younger sister, Cheng Xiaoyu, was working as a miner at the Heishan Coal Mine under his company. To test the bond of their family affection, he disguised himself as a migrant worker to get close to his sister, and witnessed Wu Tianxiong, the mine director, oppressing the workers. When Cheng Yuan stood up to resist and was severely beaten, Cheng Xiaoyu risked her life to protect him. While being detained at the mine, Cheng Yuan sneaked into the office, obtained evidence of Wu Tianxiong's crimes, and informed his assistant Zhou Ming. In the end, the evil forces were brought to justice according to law. After recognizing each other, Cheng Yuan used legal means to deal with Zhang Dali, his sister's husband who was addicted to drinking and gambling.
