Zhou Jingchi, the so - called "prince" of the Hong Kong entertainment circle, made a bet with his friends that he could win over Shen Wan, a girl from an ordinary background, within a month. In order to test Shen Wan's true feelings, he pretended to be a brain - tumor patient and deceived her. Shen Wan, in an attempt to save her "boyfriend", took on eight part - time jobs a day to earn money for his treatment. Unexpectedly, one day when Shen Wan was working part - time at a KTV, she happened to encounter Zhou Jingchi holding a birthday party for himself. Zhou Jingchi told his friends about his act of pretending to be poor and sick. Shen Wan, standing in the corner, was greatly shocked.
