Elara has always been treated like a servant while her younger sister Sylvia lives like a princess. With graduation approaching, Elara secretly accepts an assignment in the Southern Frontier District and prepares to leave. Her family barely notices, convinced she will always be there to sacrifice for them. But when Elara finally walks away from the family that took her for granted, they are forced to face what they have lost—and wonder whether their desperate pleas can ever bring her home.
