Ava Sullivan, a gifted figure skater trapped in an abusive home, loses her Olympic scholarship when childhood sweetheart Nathan gives it to another girl. After he dismisses her desperate plea for help, Ava is left for dead in a blizzard. She survives, wins regionals on a torn ligament, and leaves town to become a renowned sports scientist.
