After ten years of military campaigns, Emperor Li Jingheng returned to the palace and held a banquet. By chance, he met Su Qingqing, a maid in the Laundry Bureau. From then on, Li Jingheng fell deeply in love with Su Qingqing. He left a jade pendant, intending to confer the title of concubine upon her. Meng Fuge, another maid in the Laundry Bureau, pretended to be Su Qingqing and became Consort Li. By a twist of fate, Su Qingqing and Li Jingheng met again, and their relationship grew deeper. However, Meng Fuge mistook Li Jingheng, the emperor of the Great Xia Dynasty, for a bodyguard. Under the pretext of managing the harem, she intended to severely punish Li Jingheng. When Li Jingheng revealed his identity, he was humiliated by Meng Fuge. Li Jingheng fought back and successfully protected himself and Su Qingqing. Meng Fuge was punished, and taking this opportunity, Li Jingheng also punished the corrupt officials in the court.
