Five years after Dr. Nora Thorne was murdered following a wrongful prison stint, her ghost watches as her husband, Elias, seeks her out to take the fall for his mistress's new malpractice suit. Upon discovering Nora and her sister Lily died due to his neglect and his mistress's greed, a guilt-stricken Elias systematically destroys the mistress's career. After securing justice, he returns to their old home and consumes a fatal dose of sedatives, seeking a final, tragic reunion in death.
