Julian, ex-England football captain, is crippled and suicidal due to his abusive coach, until cheerful Leanna rescues him. His mother adopts Leanna to cure Julian. Leanna warms his heart, helps him resist bullying, expose the abuse truth and punish the coach. Julian recovers secretly and comes back to international games as a substitute. Inspired by Leanna, he scores the winning goal, reveals rivals’ doping tricks and regains glory. They dance at a charity party, and he gives her a bluebell bracelet on her birthday, building a warm healing family.
