Zhang Weiguo and his wife Chen Guiqin, on the verge of childbirth, were en route to the hospital when blocked maliciously by Zhao Tianlong, governor Zhao Jihua's son. Zhao Tianlong rammed Zhang's car, then got out and beat him brutally. He also barred Chen from reaching the hospital, his actions extremely cruel.Midway, Zhao Tianlong came across Zhang Weiguo's letter of appointment as governor of Jiuzhou. Disbelieving it, he tore it up and carried on abusing Zhang. To safeguard his wife, Zhang Weiguo endured repeatedly. He was even humiliated, compelled to polish Zhao's shoes and engage in degrading acts like playing with stockings. The conflict snowballed and the situation grew dire. Yet, those around mostly stayed silent, too afraid to voice their outrage.
