Lorenzo found Jane's photo in a dead comrade's stuff. He protected her from harassment at the base, thinking she was the comrade's widow. This led to misunderstandings. Jane uncovered a deadly plot. Lorenzo, jealous and deceptive, pushed her away, and she left, tricked by a rival. Believing him missing, she sought revenge but was trapped. Lorenzo rescued her, exposed the plot, and proposed, sealing their war - and betrayal - tested love.
