Josie Calloway loved Zack Whitmore for ten years. Before his study exchange, he promised they’d go public on his return. She trained relentlessly for a year, slimming down drastically just to surprise him.At the arrivals gate, she watched him kiss Chloe Prescott—and overheard he’d given her a teammate’s burner number, letting someone else reply to her messages all year. That someone was Wes Ashford, No. 12, the team’s top receiver. He’d comforted her, remembered every little detail about her, and never judged her by her weight.Yet when Zack spotted the newly slim Josie, he froze. “Sorry. Wrong person.”
