Seven years after losing his true love, Julian Sterling encounters a madwoman and a little girl named Mia. Thinking it a scam, he drives them away in shame. He soon discovers the girl is his biological daughter, and the woman is Seraphina Fairfield, driven mad years ago after saving him from a marrow donation and being persecuted by her romantic rival Victoria Thorne. Julian is determined to make amends, yet Victoria strikes again. A storm rages.
