Before his death, Jill Allen's father leaves a wish for her to take over the family company—but only after she has grown up and has children. Under the influence of her best friend, Lia Judd, Jill sleeps with Sam Lowe, mistakenly believing him to be a gigolo, and ends up pregnant. After raising her five children in a foreign country for five years, Jill returns to take control of the company. It is then that she reunites with Sam.
