A thousand years ago, Ling Yuan, the revered Sword Sovereign of the Immortal Realm, sacrificed his immortal bones and fell into the cycle of reincarnation to seal away the Demon Lord. However, he was betrayed by his junior disciple Xuan Chen and was branded a traitor accused of conspiring with demons. A millennium later, as the seal begins to weaken, the amnesiac Ling Yuan meets the healer Su Wanli. Accompanied by the spirit fox Qingyan, they embark on a journey to uncover the truth. As memories of their past lives gradually awaken, they uncover a shocking conspiracy hidden behind the ancient war between immortals and demons. Facing the resurrection of the Demon Lord, the cycle of fate, and betrayal from those they trusted, Ling Yuan takes up his sword once more despite his broken body, while Su Wanli awakens her divine powers. Together, they protect all living beings and complete a thousand-year journey of mutual redemption and defying destiny.
